Meet Our Dogs

Pancake *Adoption Pending

A happy dog with a white coat and brindle markings on its face and body, standing in front of a black wire fence outdoors with greenery and a gray building in the background.

Pancake is a 7 year old Basset hound mix. She was surrendered to her vet’s office when her owners didn’t want her anymore. Her fosters can’t understand why because she’s just the sweetest girl and doesn’t need much… Just a lap to sit in, snuggles from people who love her, and some toys to call her own. She’s potty trained, spayed, and up to date on her vaccines. She is heartworm positive but has already started treatment to help her heal!

Petunia

A happy brown dog with a white patch on its chest and a pink tongue hanging out, standing on grass with blurred greenery and a fence in the background.

Petunia is a 9 year old pitbull mix. We don’t know a lot about her past but we have big dreams for her future! She is very sweet, loving, tends to be pretty independent, and can also be a little spunky. She likes walks and is great on her leash, loves car rides, and gets very excited about her breakfast. Petunia is not really interested in sharing her life with other animals and we don’t blame her. She wants all the love and attention to herself!

*Petunia would prefer to be the only pet in the home.

Amy

Amy was originally brought into our rescue as a hospice dog but with some love and care, she is now adoptable. Amy loves toys and especially blankets, going outside in the yard, getting treats, and belly scratches! She is believed to be about 7-8 years old. She has cherry eye in her right eye which is a swollen inner eyelid. It was surgically repaired but didn’t stay in place. It doesn’t cause her any issues though!

Barry

Barry is a senior foster who was re-homed and then surrendered by his new owner after only a short time. We are guessing he is a Pomeranian/Pekingese mix but we don’t know for sure. He is very sweet and friendly, and good with other dogs. He still needs to be vetted so we will have more information about his age, health, and get him neutered soon. Please check back or reach out for an update.

Pedro

Pedro is estimated to be 5-6 years old, heartworm negative, and neutered. We believe he might be a Dachshund/Beagle mix (but who knows, really). He was picked up as a stray, and his finders named him "Pedro" and brought him to the shelter where he was never reclaimed by anyone. He was pretty nervous at first but has started to open up and is such a happy little guy that loves to run around, explore, and gently jump up for affection.

Ol’ Blue

Ol’ Blue is a 6 year old Shih Tzu mix who is believed to have been used as a breeder stud and then discarded when he got too old. He recently recovered from a complicated neuter surgery and has been such a trooper! He is friendly with people and has done well with the other dogs in his foster home. He has adjusted well to his new life away from being used for breeding and being at the shelter. He’s ready for his new life!

Aang

Aang is a handsome 6 year old pit mix with the most beautiful eyes! He was adopted from the shelter about 2 years ago and then sadly returned recently. He is such a happy boy - his foster said his tail is constantly wagging in circles! He is also dog friendly, kid friendly, and easy going. Aang is already neutered and is also heartworm positive but will be started on treatment before being adopted. Aang is ready to find his true forever home this time!!

Delilah

Delilah is a friendly and adorable 6 year old chihuahua mix. She was surrendered by her owner who could no longer care for her. She gets along well with other dogs and cats in her foster home. She loves treats and lots of snuggles! She would love a home where she can sleep in bed with her person under the blankets. She needs to have her intake vet appointment and then she’ll be ready to find her new home!

Killer

At 6 years old, this sweet-faced, long-haired Jack Russell Terrier’s big name comes with a special story. Killer was named after his previous owner’s father, who served in the 82nd Airborne Division and earned the nickname “Killer.” Due to his owner’s health issues, they were no longer able to care for him. He’s a timid dog who is getting used to his new life away from his people. Killer needs a little patience, reassurance, and someone willing to help him build confidence. In return, he offers love and companionship!
