  1. Apply. Get to know our available dogs by checking them out on our website, following them on our Facebook page, or meeting them at one of our events. Once we receive your application, please allow 2-3 days for us to get back to you. We will review your application, contact your vet reference, and then reach out to set up a time and location to meet.

  2. Meet & Greet. During a meet and greet, you can bring your family members or resident dog(s) to meet your potential new adoptee. This is usually a short visit for an hour or so, just to get a sense of how you connect with the dog and if the foster and your resident dog(s) seem to get along.

  3. Trial. The trial period will be an overnight visit in your home, usually for 2-3 days. This time allows you to get to know the dog in your own environment and see if he or she is a good fit for your family and lifestyle (and vice versa). We always want to ensure the best match possible for all of our rescues!

  4. Adopt. If you decide you want to adopt after the overnight trial, it’s time to fill out your adoption contract, make an adoption donation, and take a new family photo! We require a minimum donation of $200 to adopt.

Meet Our Dogs

Pancake

A happy dog with a white coat and brindle markings on its face and body, standing in front of a black wire fence outdoors with greenery and a gray building in the background.
Close-up of a happy brindle and white dog with floppy ears, standing outdoors on grass with a chain-link fence in the background.

Pancake is a 7 year old Basset hound mix. She was surrendered to her vet’s office when her owners didn’t want her anymore. Her fosters can’t understand why because she’s just the sweetest girl and doesn’t need much… Just a lap to sit in, snuggles from people who love her, and some toys to call her own. She’s potty trained, spayed, and up to date on her vaccines. She is heartworm positive but has already started treatment to help her heal!

Millie

Millie is an 11 year old Shih Tzu mix and was found wandering around near a dumpster. She is blind and mostly deaf also. Millie does a great job of getting around her environment after she gets to know it, she will use the bathroom outside every time you take her out, and she eats well too!

Petunia

A happy brown dog with a white patch on its chest and a pink tongue hanging out, standing on grass with blurred greenery and a fence in the background.

Petunia is a 9 year old pitbull mix. We don’t know a lot about her past but we have big dreams for her future! She is very sweet, loving, and easy going. She likes walks and is great on her leash, is good with other dogs with lower energy levels, and gets so excited when you get home from work or when it’s time for breakfast!

Queenie

A small dog with light brown and white fur being held by a person's hand outdoors. The dog has large ears and is looking to the side.

Queenie came to our rescue from the shelter after being surrendered because her owner died. She is estimated to be about 10 years old and the sweetest little thing! She loves to snuggle, get pets, and be held as much as possible. She loves blankets. She was pee pad trained by her previous owners but has done well with learning to go to the bathroom outside. We are still getting to know her but so far she is dog friendly and kid friendly.
