At Home Stretch Dog Rescue, our mission is to honor every senior dog with the compassion, comfort, and dignity they deserve in this stage of life. We believe that senior dogs are treasures — rich in love, loyalty, and wisdom — and that their final chapter should be filled with safety, warmth, and belonging.

Whether they come to us neglected, surrendered, or overlooked, we are committed to ensuring their quality of life is protected and celebrated. Through individualized care, peaceful environments, and thoughtful placement, we strive to make each day meaningful for the dogs entrusted to us.

We are dedicated to meeting the unique medical and emotional needs of older dogs with prompt and thorough veterinary care, pain management, and proper nutrition tailored to their aging bodies.

Beyond rescue, we serve as advocates for senior adoption, working to shift perceptions and highlight the deep joy and companionship that older dogs bring to families. We hope to ensure that more dogs spend their golden years in loving homes rather than in shelters. Every senior dog deserves not just rescue — but respect, comfort, and a family to call their own.

Our Mission

Our Team

Our volunteers and the members of our Board of Directors include rescuers with diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives in animal welfare, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement.

Our volunteers work collaboratively with the community to set goals, uphold ethical standards, and most importantly advocate for the animals we serve and the foster families who care for them.

United by compassion and commitment, we ensure that every decision prioritizes the well-being and dignity of the dogs in our care.
