Brandy’s Story
Brandy was adopted and then returned to the shelter after only a few months due to her owner being ill. Around 5 years old, she is not technically a “senior” but we were grateful to be able to pull her so she didn’t have to do another round of living at the shelter while waiting for a new home.
At first, Brandy was pretty shy and overwhelmed. We believe she was living in a quiet home with her person and during the first few days in foster, she entered a home with other dogs, kids, and a hefty amount of chaos. She eventually settled into foster with a cozy spot on the couch, respectful dogs who gave her space, and a wonderful foster mom who gave her all the love she needed.
It wasn’t long before Brandy’s new mom took her home forever. She has another senior dog, Jackson, who was feeling a bit lonely. Brandy and Jackson had a few moments of figuring out each others’ preferences, but soon they became the best of friends. They love to snuggle on their dog bed together and keep each other company when their mom goes to work.
Brandy’s adoption day was such a happy one! Thank you to Brandy’s new mom for giving her all the love and care she deserves for the rest of her life, so she never has to go back to the shelter again.
